CSV, Excel, Parquet or JSON. Up to 100 MB or 100,000 rows per file.
No file handy?
1. Columns to read
Pick the columns that help decide. They're read in the order you click them.
Numbers and dates can help, but they're less useful than text: they're read as words, so there's no math or date comparison. Include a text column for the best results.
2. What to decide for each row
3. Review
Preview first to check the results. Previews are free and don't count toward your daily limit.
Not quite right? Reword the question, describe the categories more clearly, or choose different columns, then preview again.
Preparing your file…
Your file is ready
Always free. For your privacy, we don't keep anything: your file and results are deleted automatically within an hour.
Supplier feeds and old catalogs rarely match the categories your store uses. Mapping hundreds of products by hand before an import into Shopify, WooCommerce or a marketplace is one of the most repetitive jobs in e-commerce.
Upload the catalog, paste in your category list, and each product gets a category with a confidence score. Products that could go in two places are flagged so you can decide.
How to do it
- Export products from your store, supplier feed or spreadsheet as CSV or Excel.
- Select the product title, and the description too if titles are short or vague.
- Paste your categories, preview, then import the downloaded file back into your store.
Example
Real results from the sample file (product titles). The last row shows a case the model wasn't sure about, flagged for you to check:
| Product title | Category | Confidence | Needs review |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wireless noise-cancelling headphones | Electronics | 100% | |
| Organic cotton baby onesie, 3-pack | Baby & kids | 100% | |
| Cast iron skillet, 12 inch | Kitchen | 96% | |
| Bluetooth bathroom scale | Health & beauty | 49% | Yes |
Tips for better results
- Use the exact category names from your store so the result can be imported without editing.
- For big trees with sub-categories, run the top level first, then run each group again with its sub-categories.
- Short or generic titles ("Set of 5") are where mistakes happen; add the description column for those.
Questions
Can I use my Shopify or Amazon category tree?
Yes, paste in any category names, up to 255 per run. For deep trees, categorise level by level for better accuracy.
Does it use prices or other numbers?
It can read them, but they're less useful than text. Product titles and descriptions do most of the work.
Will my product data be stored?
No. Files stay in memory only and are deleted automatically within an hour.
